THE UNIT CONVERSION TUTOR - WORKING WITH THE METRIC SYSTEM
Working With the Metric System
- Unit conversion requirements for math
- Improve problem-solving skills
- Learn to solve problems step-by-step & line-by-line
- Working example problems of increasing difficulty
- Learn the concepts of Scientific Notation, The Metric System & Unit Conversions
Unit conversions are used in every branch of math and science including Algebra, Calculus, Physics and chemistry. However, in most cases the unit conversions themselves are not taught in any class in particular; but are critical for understanding and solving Scientific Notation and applying the SI (metric) system.
This series teaches the techniques of the most common unit conversions by fully worked example problems. The strategy associated with unit conversions is emphasized so that students will be comfortable applying any conversion factor necessary to solve the problem.
The Unit Conversion Tutor Series is a complete 8 lesson series covering all of the core topics in detail. What sets this series apart from other teaching tools is that the concepts are taught entirely through step-by-step example problems of increasing difficulty. It works by introducing each new concept in an easy to understand way and using example problems that are worked out step-by-step and line-by-line to completion. If a student has a problem with coursework or homework, simply find a similar problem fully worked on in the series and review for the steps needed to solve the problem.
This series is best used in order from Volume 1 through Volume 8.
