The Almena Method® is an innovative method that teaches all the principles of writing, speed building
and computer keyboard touch typing in One Easy Lesson. It is a proven application and is the primary
teaching tool for computer keyboard typing skills. This program is for young children and elementary
schools. Students will learn all 26 letters of the alphabet in one quick easy lesson along with practice
lessons to develop speed and accuracy.
This program is different from the standard style of mastering the keyboard. Almena King developed a
series of mnemonic jingles to assist in remembering the key locations. Once students learn these jingles,
they can recite them to remember where to find the letters. It also includes a number of lessons that
students can use to practice keying the letters they have learned using the jingle, including assessment
tests to gauge student progress.
